The shapes of the garments were fresh and young. The slouchy drape with deep coin pockets was perfect for the young career girl that has such a personality she is jaunting about the town going from office to party every night. Stand-outs were the high-waisted cigarette pants; the one-shoulder drapey dresses in fuchsia, silver and navy and the chiffon bloused, which is definitely her strong suit.

Citing the "global traveller" as their theme and inspirations ranging from African markings to tribal headdresses, no more than three prints came down the runway. Confusing... sure. I would say it is more amish chic than African at all. The placement of the ruffles was inappropriate for any woman blessed with more than an "A" cup and even on the models, some of those ruffles came off like gills on a guppy.

3:30 pm Felder Felder

Felder Felder's muse seems to be a young woman who covets her simplistic femininity. Ruffles.. but not too many(we love the ones on the sleeves) and horizontal ribbon detail in fitted sheaths that would pair well with a perfect pump for the conservatives or a biker jacket and some bangles for the risk takers. The washed greys and oatmeals show that you don't have to wear pastels to prove it's spring.

The collection was a bit scattered but that's because it was based on the "unpredictability of the British summertime." Slouchy beginnings finished with stripped skinny pants and black leather biker jackets. the finishes on the final pieces worked for a discerning girl with an edge... an editor perhaps.

Bespoke might have been a little too homemade and if the piece's embellishments were edited down, the exhibition would have been quite lovely. Inspired by both military and lingerie the corset blooming feathers, the huge chiffon bows and the jewelry details stood out. If the over the top coats were a little less patchy they would have been lovely as well.

Who wouldn't want to wear a little jacket with corset boning at the shoulder, or a wrap that has a surprise in the way of a fuchsia bow at the back. If you are looking for something to wear with a classic black tuxedo pant than Harriet's Muse might be the new place to turn. Known for their corsets, the stand-outs this time were the items that were not in-fact corsets but those that had corset influence.

8:00 pm Saint Hill Couture

When labeling something couture, it is essential to hold the standard high, and high marks were scored at the Saint Hill Couture show. There was the perfect amount of embellishments. Each dress fit the model perfectly. Each crystal was sewn firmly into place. Even the white beaded and feathered Ziegfeld Follies inspired gown was done with enough taste to not look costumey. And then there was a simple striped suit. So luxe that it walked itself down the runway. Such a simple piece had enough sex appeal (slits flashing a bit of forearm, and a skirt that grazed the leg to show a hint of knee) to be evening appropriate, yet sophisticated enough to cater to any Royal.
