Margin, the tradeshow well known as the launch pad for new labels introduces the Selvage area this year highlighting directional denim brands at The Vinyl Factory Gallery W1 on August 3-5.
Those set to showcase their brands in Selvage include Trousers London, organic and fair-trade label Chance, French brand NU and directional Japanese denim designers True Brit and Kyoto denim.
“Very happy to meet eco-friendly designers, that was very interesting…very cutting edge…we were pleased to meet some people that we hadn’t met already and who themselves are interested in having some French distributors.” Les Roseaux Sauvage, Paris
Margin allows a diverse range of emerging designers to show at their annual tradeshow due to the amount of areas on offer for both exhibitors and buyers. Other than the new Selvage area, buyers can choose from the Kreateur area full of sharp and elegant tailoring, the GILD area to explore the very latest accessories and the most innovative and revolutionary of them all, the 101 Room featuring an array of brand new labels.
“I think if you’re looking for something that’s a bit more quirky, a bit more left of centre, something that’s got a bit more vision, then this is the show to come to…The vibe’s really nice, it’s quite laid-back but it’s good fun and everyone’s really happy and friendly which is what you want from a trade show.” EBTM.com, Online
Over the six years Margin has evolved which is what makes this tradeshow the fun and laid back fashion show of the year according to buyers, exhibitors and press alike. As well as championing new and young fashion brands, Margin has always been involved in promoting new and contemporary art. Graphic Designers, Graff artists, Illustrators, Photographers and Product Designers have exhibited at editions of Margin.
