Dion Lee Shined. The Independent Runway show, attended by over 1,500 people was one of the most talked about events for all of LGFW. Reporters predicted the rock and roll aesthetic of Rest in Piece and Who am I. What they forgot to mention was the outstanding cut and pattern creation of Dion Lee. A former Westfield Chermside Australian Fashion Graduate of the Year Winner in 2008, he came out strong with cropped jackets that hung perfectly and a beautiful little sheath that was very Jonathan Saunders-inspired. For his first effort in the “big show” he comprised a promising collection that will have international appeal.
