The Loris Diran show was centered on the theme of armor. Sharp lines and tailored clothes balanced the reptilian inspired leather headgear. Rich hues such as browns, maroons, charcoal, black and deep purple comprised the pallet.The “armor” clothes had an architectural look to them as they were mimicking the animal they were made from. A men’s knit mohair sweater was layered over a silk shirt. The women’s pieces were precisely feminine with vast cascading ruffles and voluminous shirts. Overall a great show. The cuts were classic and they will sell extremely well, especially in the current economy.
