Box Eight LA Fashionweek 2010: Lloyd Klein

Posted by fashionentrepreneurreport On Sunday, March 21, 2010
When you are a trained architect turned fashion designer you get Lloyd Klein’s amazing structured garments that nip in and grow grand in the right places.

Inspired by Le Corbusier the early 1800’s modern furniture designer and architect, Klein unveiled a series of pieces that echoed the architectural sentiment with modern minimalistic cuts.

Known for shiny, jeweled and glitter fabrics with lots of bright colors, the designer shocked the crowd as there were none to be found for Fall 2010.

I rather liked the minimalist approach that he took to stay true to his inspiration with muted color, grays and camel wool.

The futuristic highly structured camel wool jacket with wool belt was superb as was my other favorite a beautifully structured grey wool dress.

Lloyd is another fashion design veteran who appears to be enjoying the fruit of his past labor and is now enjoying his craft and art.
