From dresses to shorts, filmy chiffon to full out plumes you can call it mannequin cream, soft beige, peach nectar or rose petal the naked palette was the color, or lack there of, this season. A.F. Vandevorst played into the lingerie trend and made a neutral slip inspired dress. Alberta Ferretti,Cacharel, and Nina Ricci were all humble in their use of nude with longer skirts and layered translucents. Issey Miyake played with texture and proportion with bandage-type basics placed under a cropped jacket. Jason Wu looked to Old Hollywood glamour sending Super Model of the moment Karlie Kloss out on the runway in a feathered frock with a grass green belt. Chloe’s neutral palette was a casual 50’s inspired pant suit. Donna Karan and her infamous draping created a languid, luxurious column of a dress that slinked down the runway. Burberry made interesting bandage draped skirts and dresses that paired well with the pale khaki, borer-line nude trench coats and jackets; a softer side of the refreshed line. However it was Gianfranco Ferré’s Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi's collection of weightless modern soft bubble skirts and poufy draped waists (a huge trend found throughout spring) walking next to lamé and lurex that won our vote.
