Last month saw the third annual Gina Conway Charity Fashion Show, hosted by Aveda. The exclusive event hosted the elite of the fashion and hair industry. Eight ethical fashion designers, from across the globe, where specially handpicked to have their edgy environmentally conscious designs hit the runway with cutting edge hair and beauty to match, courtesy of award winning Aveda hair stylists.
The show centered on a theme of Earth-Fire-Water-Air. Designers and hair stylists worked closely to create a collective vision based on this theme, which was made apparent in the show. The event brought the eclectic Westbourne Studios to life with bamboo trees and natural colours. Guests were treated to clothes and hair designs that pushed boundaries and amazed the audience!
The event was launched to help support valuable charities that Gina Conway continues to support such as The Earth Watch Institute and the Whole Planet Foundation. By bringing together like-minded individuals of the community, the event aims to raise money to support sustainability and develop understanding of other environmentally conscious efforts. Now in its third season, The Charity fashion Show was sponsored by the exclusive Fashion TV channel in order to raise awareness of the cause.
When asked about the success of the show, Gina Conway said,
‘It was amazing! We had many people wanting to become a part of the Gina Conway difference, and that to me is so invaluable and humbling. My staff and I work so hard to achieve above and beyond every day and I think this year we have really stepped up our game!’
