Creating Your Own Job is in Fashion

Posted by fashionentrepreneurreport On Wednesday, April 08, 2009
According to YahooHotJobs today amongst the top ten jobs that will always be around no matter the economy “ENTREPRENEUR” comes in at number three.

“To be an entrepreneur you need to be an independent, outgoing risk taker as you establish your own business or company. Although it may be hard to know whether a business will succeed, there will always be a need for a variety of goods and services and businesses to supply them.  Although salaries can vary greatly with the self-employed, small business owners made an average annual wage of $36,000 to $75,095 in 2008” according to Pay Scale.

And Romy LeClaire Loran of FindtheRightSchool.com who compiled the list of recession proof jobs placed entrepreneur on the list due to the flexibility of course curriculum.  ”

If you want to follow your dreams as well as provide for a certain future, take heart. As long as human beings continue to inhabit the planet, there are many worthwhile and fulfilling jobs that will never go away.”

For the fashion business this can mean anything from designer, to fashion brand rep, to boutique owner.  Fashion is a multi-million dollar business that will not go anywhere no matter what the stock market does.  People still need to clothe themselves, they need a place to purchase said clothing, therefore jobs that revolve around how to create, produce, and distribute the clothing in a cost effective, unique and beautiful manner will always be valued.

The retail market reported severe losses in the past quarter but shopping will pick up again.  What about the millions of students that need their first interview suit?  What about the bride that has dreamed of her dress for decades? What about the 245 babies born every 60 seconds?  They will need clothing.  And those babies grow at rapid rates, so the opportunity for a new customer is always there.

It looks like if you have the original idea and the business plan to back it up sky is the limit.
