NY Fashion Week Fall 09: Jonathan Saunders

It’s all about shoulders and legs at Saunders this season.

For a collection made almost entirely of dresses from short and sculpted to the long columns, the attention to detail and fabric piecing replaced the patterns that Jonathan Saunders has become known for making this a more retailable collection in general. The shoulder detail seen in spring collections has returned whether it rounded and bold or cut out all together the shoulders gave way to the eyes to center on the torso of the piece.Legs were shrouded in black tights making the colors pop almost like a Rothko painting and I am certain just as much detail was taken.
