Cheri Milaney says she designs for real women and to prove it she featured them in her runway show. Along with the models of various ages and sizes, a violinist serenaded the audience, inspired by the violin’s resemblance to a woman’s shape.Purple, the show’s thematic color is translated as viola in Italian. Eggplant tones abounded in jackets, dresses and purple berets. Rusty metallic wrap blouses and feathered dresses captured attention. Will real women wear these designs? The answer: they already have.
