Pajama Party!

Natascha Poly Dolce and Gabanna Pajamas Jessica Alba pajamasSummer is arriving and the weather is warming up.  Even though summer collections are out in stores, there is still confusion on which trends to adopt!
One thing is for sure, fashionistas will be able to pull their pyjamas out of the bedroom and hit the streets looking chic.
Was it a survival instinct from the economic downturn or the Madoff scandal that pushed our favorite designers to find new options to our work clothes?  Yes, the pyjama will be a must for summer 2009!
A solution for busy urbanite women, as a quick transition between loungewear to daywear. No more need to give further thought when you wake up in the morning. However, the perfect urban pyjama won’t be the usual cotton pants and tank top, neither will it be the laced slip, babydoll or teddy.
Using elaborate tailoring, designers such as Dolce & Gabbana gave the pyjama a clean and sophisticated line for a total chic look. In silk, the pyjama trend will reflect a relaxed lifestyle of the modern women and her well-being. Think of it as a new relaxed option of the trouser suit! The top will be fitted while the bottom will be loose. Feminine and discreet styles were seen at Chloé, and even glamourous eighties inspired pieces were shown at Jean Paul Gautier.
No, this year we won’t have to spend too much money on expensive cocktail dresses or a custom made tailored suit!   The luckiest one won’t have to look too far away and will be able to dig in their boyfriend, dad, mom and even grandmother’s closets to recycle their pyjamas into daily wear.
In silk twill, silk cotton, with printed stripes, saturated with light to dark blue hues, pyjamas will definitely give the style conscious plenty of options to mix and match.
Be careful not to commit the fashion "faux pas"! The total look will be hard to wear and will have to be accessorized properly and worn with fierce high heels. The best way to wear this upcoming trend is to separate the pyjama top and bottom. The pyjama top can be mixed with a bloomer or a skirt and ballerina flats, while the loose silky pants can be worn with high heels and a jacket.
This trend is definitely something to look after and has already been adopted by celebrities such as Jessica Alba as seen here from runway to the real way on the red carpet premiere of My Bloody Valentine.
