A master at construction and a follower of his own visions, Joel Diaz created nothing slight of perfection yet again this Spring 2010 atJolibe. The silhouettes have a hip detail found in current high-end ready-to-wear from here to Paris, but it is in his fabric pairings, that the true genius can be found. A khaki military jacket embellished in Swarovski crystals paired with a powder blue jacquard. Sheer blouses that flip to architecturally sculpted pencil skirts. Each piece was something that would need at least an hour to describe. And in the heat of a New York September, show attendees had goosebumps.
