New York Fashion Week Spring 2010: Altuzarra

Posted by fashionentrepreneurreport On Sunday, September 13, 2009

Altuzarra_Spring_2010Concentrating on the de-construction and reconstruction of fabrics, Joseph Altuzarra worked textiles to create a 70’s inspired modern boho dream.
Eyelet and suede in a palette of white and cinnamon and nutmeg brought the hard-hitting 80’s to an end.  Romantic apron dresses, ponchos and ruffle-hemmed skirts added to the softness.  But no one can deny Altuzarra’s ability to construct a pant or find the right location to place his details which accentuate the waist, the shoulders and the hips.  While the dresses were something new for New York Fashion Week, the white on white pant separates will probably be the best sellers.
