The Grand Cabana was packed as Tibi launched their Resort 2009/10 collection which included bathing suits, resort style rompers and kaftans and shoes.

A company known for prints looked to the country of Bali for inspiration, Amy Smilovic turned out more chic one pieces where a woman could lounge pool-side at a five-star exotic resort, rather than cute little printed bikinis that the crowd expected.

When the bikinis did arrive they were mainly in the bandeau style (a huge trend popping back up in swimwear) save for a couple of typical triangle styles.

The cover-ups, both long and short had that dazzling print that we expect from Tibi and the Carousel Ikat silk chiffon cover-up and Roulette chiffon cover-up will surely make it’s way into women’s closets, beach or no beach.
