Mens Spring 2010 NYC Market Week: ENK

Posted by fashionentrepreneurreport On Sunday, July 19, 2009

On July 19th, 20th & 21st, The ENK Tradeshow for Spring/Summer 2010 was held at Pier 94 in Manhattan, where 400 menswear collections were showcased to retailers, buyers and press.
ENK housed two separate shows, Collective and Blue under the same roof.  Collective consisted of formal menswear aimed at the higher end market.  Cuff links, traditional leather shoes, suiting and variations of collared shirts were in abundance.
Some of the notable designers included handmade sunglasses by Cutler and Gross, leather bags by Moore & Giles (image), trench coats by Schneiders, organic cotton twill shirts and chinos by Harm Less Planet, cuff links created from nostalgic items such as game winning baseballs by Token & Icons, and the perfect fitted button downs by Zachary Prell.
Blue showcased the denim market along with other contemporary items.  Cashmere sweaters by Christopher Fischer, leather jackets by Converse by John Varvatos, iconic screen printed t-shirts by A+ L Heelstone LLC and a plethora of premium hats for men and women by Arth were the highlights.  Overall it was a great turn out and a very professionally run tradeshow.  From what I could see, men’s retail for Spring/Summer 2010 is going to be a bright one as many orders were being placed throughout the shows.
