Successful Regional Markets

Dallas Market CenterAttendance was up over last year, and many showrooms reported stronger than expected sales,” said Cindy Morris, COO, Dallas Market Center.
“The mood was positive, traffic was steady, and we are thrilled that buyers showed up ready to place orders.  The middle of the country remains better off than anywhere else, and we anticipate a strong second half of the year.”
Social networking was live and in action with tweets going out to participants inviting them to lunch events, runway shows and even giving them advice on what restaurants to go to in their evening off-time.  Almost serving as a minute-by-minute tech concierge, the twitter revolution made a more active and inclusive setting for Market attendees.
New lines such as Iodice, Kitty, Alice and Trixie and Salvage added to the already huge list of contemporary fashion booths The Dallas Market Center has approximately 12,000 lines in FashionCenterDallas making it the largest apparel marketplace in the world, offering the greatest depth of product in 550 showrooms and hundreds of temp booths.
“Our region remains loyal to Dallas Market Center, however buyers from across the U.S. are attending our markets because of the cost of travel to Dallas opposed to other market centers.” Explained Meredith Hite, Senior Manager, Public Relations.
What was hot on the radar?  Accessories and contemporary tops were big items for most brands.  Special Occasion will be the focus in August and already many buyers are confirming their return so we expect that market to be a huge success as well.
