Key Trends
Embellishment: The trend for wearing your jewellery on your clothes was abundant with Bejeweled necklines and studded or sequin encrusted cap shoulders, livening up otherwise ordinary outfits. Military inspired khaki pieces highlighted with sparkles created an edgy contrast.

Avant garde construction techniques brought forth new shapes and a uniqueness that cannot be pinned down with a simple descriptive label. Exciting times.
New Knitwear: Cable knits, braiding and ruffles were all big news. Plays on Proportion updated traditional jumpers, shoulders were accentuated and cropped knits put a modern spin on a traditional piece. Textural pieces with overlays and variations in consistency and thicknesses were all executed either in block colour or subtle tonal variation creating a unified look while also highlighting the contrast between textures.
Diffused graphic prints: For the last few seasons the art inspired Print has been reworked again and again, with increasing complexity. This season the print appears in exquisite detail and lucid popping colour palates with a diffused mask effect to soften the look. Diffused Prints appear predominantly on dresses and look fetching in silk satin.
Return to luxury: Sleek Leather jackets appeared in glossy black or soft tawny browns with quilted panels and fur trims and collars. There has been a huge fur revival this season with fur pelts in every form and colour.
Reworked classics: Relaxed tailoring was a key look. Modern twists on traditional classics included fabric manipulation techniques shown in accentuated shoulders and volume and structure in necklines giving a luxe updated look to classic garments.
Most covetable look: Relaxed tailored pieces with draping and manipulation and tone on tone colour palates
Colors of the season: Mustard, Camel, all shades of grey, tonal neutrals, Aubergine and burgundy were prevalent and black of course. Brighter colours appeared most often in graphic prints and decorative trims.
