With the mission of giving the fashion loving public new talent before it hits the mainstream, Hauteholics founders Sari Schwartz and Eva Shure took to NYC at La Pomme to unveil the collections of Hunter Dixon, Erna Leon, Kara Janx and Kathy Misnick.
The crowd was full of New York’s most beautiful and fashionable from David Yurman’s stylist, representatives from Diane Von Furstenberg, to Tony Award winner Greg Jbara. Host Kristen Schaal of Flight of the Conchords had the crowd roaring with laughter as she joked about the fashion industry and how “high heels are the modern day corset”. “Stop wearing them”! She shouted.
Party dresses seemed to be the theme of the evening for all of the designers, but our favorite was actually a little grey dress with the female silhouette silk screened in copper metallic, by Kathy Misick housed in the pop-up shop upstairs at La Pomme. We were more than elated to see it make the cut on the runway. Its sense of humor and flattering easy fit is something every girl needs as they shed their layers for Spring.
