Tailored, structured but with a lot of flounce, dresses in chiffon, pin-tucked, sheer-paneled and worked to the perfect amount. For Chado Ralph Rucci the palette was neutral - the usual chic black and white with a lot of fawn (beige to the less sophisticated).
There was maximum movement from the skirts. Each piece beautifully done – the standout was the chartreuse gown with Japanese influence (might have something to do with the overall show’s theme which was Choreographer Pina Bausch) that not only popped color into the show’s run, but like limeade on a warm summer’s day, infused a lovely surprise which quenched our thirst for the glamour that Rucci emanates.
