Milanese designers spoke of pirates as a theme but Consuelo Castiglioni and her Marni label were the only ones where the vision became a reality. With saucy headscarves and stripped leggings the dusty layered pieces look like they have been weathered with the salty air of the ocean, but nothing was to costumy here for Spring 2010. I loved when the presentation started to layer neutral separates such as walking shorts and slouchy ruffled jackets with textured graphic tees. The socks and slides were a perfect touch.
