In his debut collection Joaquin Trias mixed high tech fabrics with experimental cuts, such as an upside down skirt and boxy Bermudas.
The result for Trias was ill-fitting clothing for the separates, but when the same effect was used on single dresses audience members were able to concentrate on simply the texture of the fabric, which made the garment much less distracting and actually pretty. The color palette of goldenrod, grass and black with hints of taupe were a chic answer to spring’s desire for a vibrant palette.
