Temperley Announces New High Tech Global Installation

For the second consecutive season, and following the success of the Autumn Winter 2009/10 multimedia presentation Empress of the Orient, Temperley London announces the latest in their series of global installations for the forthcoming Spring Summer 2010 International Fashion Weeks.

Participating in the MAC & MILK fashion week schedule as one of the driving forces in the search for new and relevant ways to display fashion in the 21st century, Temperley London will be one of the key anchor presentations at this newly created platform during New York fashion week. The company is partnering with Milk Studio’s Emmy nominated film division, LEGS, to create a travelling interactive installation that will debut in New York and then evolve into a new format before travelling to London to be featured as part of London Fashion Week’s 25th Anniversary Celebrations. Elements of the installation will then be taken to Paris for exhibit to a wider fashion audience.

Simultaneously the film aspect of the installation and stills from the styled collection as well as an interactive version and a behind the scenes cut will be displayed to a global online audience via its newly created multimedia website.

The decision by Temperley London to move away from more traditional methods of exhibiting collections was prompted not only by the current economic crisis that restricts travelling budgets, but initially by concerns about global climate change. Temperley London remains committed to work with outstanding partners to bring each collection alive in a different and fresh format and transport the essential elements into the homes of the fashion community as well as the end consumer.

The Temperley London Spring Summer 2010 Collection debut will take place on Tuesday, September 15th during New York Fashion Week at MILK Studios followed by London Fashion Week on the 21st September at Sketch.
