There is such a thing as too much. Too heavy fabric, too many details (ruffles, brass buttons etc.) we get it. Kyle Nylund went military theatrical for his Spring 2010 collection during Alberta Fashion Week. The idea was there and if fine tuned might have been a cool theme, but the couch pattern looking brocade and the way too cropped yellow military jacket read Chelsea version of Interview with a Vampire. Or Rocky Horror Picture show. Either way, this might work with the club kids, but will hardly be saleable for retail.
