Paris Fashion Week Spring 2010: Jean-Charles de Castelbajac

Posted by fashionentrepreneurreport On Wednesday, October 07, 2009

jeancharles2010.jpgLightly touching on the post-card theme, but more heavily weighing on what looked like Blue Hawaii (an Elvis dress included) Jean-Charles de Castelbajac created a island romp with festive palm prints and well… Prince splashed all over his pieces.
There were wildly textured tiki mask dresses (complete with face and fringe) eye patches and diaper-esque sarongs for guys and bright colored mini dresses for the ladies.  The nautical stripes and eyelet dresses were the most saleable part of the collection, but the entire thing… wearable or not put a smile on our face well beyond Paris Fashion Week 2010.
