Very simple, but who doesn’t like simple? Kris Van Assche gave us a series of black white and whisper grey dresses in his Spring 2010collection. When pants were thrown into the mix they were either a non-descript trouser or an elastic waisted lounge pant. The print was reminiscent of rain running down a windowpane which broke up the basic palette nicely and the skinny belts wrapped around (sometime asymmetrically which was the best bit) was the most inventive part of the collection. There is no question that this line will sell well, whether it inspired or not.-Lynn Furge
