With the beginnings of a promising show, Caitlin Power unveiled some simple dresses with ruffle detail during Alberta Fashion Week. Then the shapes and excess ruffles in unflattering spots for the female silhouette distracted audiences. Tough to image those shapes (the breast bejeweled frock was especially unpleasant) on a real customer. But Power saved herself with exquisite coats that were both modern, and draped on the body perfectly.
