Paris Fashion Week Spring 2010: Dries Van Noten

Posted by fashionentrepreneurreport On Monday, October 05, 2009

driesvannoten2010.jpgDries Van Noten build the “globe-trotting” genre of fashion, taking ethnic patterns and textiles and turning them into a perfectly acceptable wardrobe for women with a waspy way of life (think the pajama pant of Spring 2008).   Thus was this Spring 2010 collection of kimono fabrics, citrus patterned saris, Chinese embroideries, Indonesian batiks.  Within the vast market-like textiles were beautifully tailored jackets and pants, fun little sari skirts and some voluminous gowns, all perfect for spring in Paris or anywhere else for that matter.
