A graphic air was present at Rick Owens. The Spring 2010 collection had origami shapes with loincloth endings, sandals that flopped over like a calla lily and trench coats to top the entire thing off. The palette was in grayscale and one of the most interesting things about the entire collection was the difference in collar shapes, from a bit of an off-center funnel, a couple of starched “mock turtlenecks and dramatic long draped collars, all of which I predict will influence other designers in the coming season.
