Taking the scarf motif of a square piece of silk and turning it into beautifully draped dresses, Rodolfo Paglialunga’s Spring 2010 collection for Vionnet let the shapes turn into patterns and the dresses speak for themselves. The effortless contrast of little floral patterns with the graphic bold striped borders, or the windowpane print accompanied by lettuce ruffles made the mix-and-match look properly constructed instead of thrown together.
