Akris was classic, sharply tailored with enough femininity, fluid in an icy palette, and textured with variated lengths of different fabrics. Albert Kriemler designed his Spring 2010 collection for Paris Fashion Week with clean lines in mind. Almost as if the opening was about smart day-time dressing, comfortable knitwear and easy suiting. Kriemler brought in the heat, but only in terms of color with russet and cinnamon, but brought it back to cool and sleek in the end. The gowns were languid plunging and something that although only working a Gweneth Paltrow type, was a welcome diversion to the shorter wider volumes we’ve seen in other shows.
